I can get the 2 P-12's for $317. Will this be too much/over powering for my setup? Or will a single PL-200II be better? I've read everywhere that dual sub is better.

My setup :
Klipsch R-16F Floor Standing x2
Klipsch R-41M Bookshelf x2 [I'll be selling these, they came in a bundle]
Klipsch R-52C Center
Receiver : Onkyo TX-NR626

What is a P-15? It doesn't appear to be a BIC model like the PL-200. Dual subs will help smoothing room response for multiple seats, but if just worried about one seat a single sub can work. I'd look at dual SUB1200s or SUB1500s from parts-express.com for that price range.

Sorry, I meant BIC F-12's. It's a 3 seats, 1 movie theater recliner style. I've read the 1500's and the F-12's are about identical and either ones would work and mostly comes down to preference. I have a $85 credit on Rakuten and that's why I was eyeing the F-12's.

F12s and PL-200 are almost the same sub was my understanding. If you look at the specs, they are very similar, so I don't think it will matter. Two of them would definitely be better.

Most of the value with having dual subs comes from being able to place them appropriately and tune them effectively. If you don't have many options to where they can be located, or are not able to tune them correctly, then duals have less value. Placed improperly and they could actually become destructive at certain frequencies, cancelling themselves out in those regions. There is some effort and discipline involved. Be that as it may...

I reviewed the PL-200 II not too long ago and it's a nice sub for the money. It is BIC's top-of-the-line so it will perform better than the F12, but it won't have twice the output. Better sound quality, but a pair of F12's will be more prominent (assuming placement and tuning, of course).

I have two pl-200’s and two pl-200ii’s that I’m not using anymore if you’re interested
