Upgrade receiver

Going to go with a new 4k TV and want to upgrade my receiver for 4k.
Maybe get one with HDMI 2.1 if they're coming. What time of year do the new receivers usually come out.
Probably selling my Panasonic plasma. The last one they made, TC-P65ZT60. it's fantastic!
