I have a Monster 15 foot THX cable I purchased cheap ($15 or so) about 10 years ago. Never purchased a sub but I still have the cable in the original package. Just in case...:)
It's good to be prepared

And that's the thing... I did start to overthink cables. It's really not worth it. :) It's cool to learn about some of the stuff though!!! :D

In the end, I became an avowed Monoprice slut. It's true. All of my cables are from the Big M. My Banana plugs and Gigaswitch, too. The only thing I didn't update are the old Rat Shack interconnects I'm using for my Pre-Outs to Amps. Those I'm planning to replace later this year.

@Speedskater: first, please know that I am not interested in cable wars. I've posted that in the past on many an occasion. I'm not interested in changing your mind, or anybody else. My only complaint about BJC is the price. Never heard a negative comment about BJC, either! That's telling!!!
But for ONE 25' cable, I can pay anywhere from $52.50 up to $84.25 with BJC. The Mogami Gold RCA Patch is $59.95 for a 20' length on Amazon. I bought TWO 25' Monoprice High Quality Subwoofer Cables, as I linked to above, for $21.40 plus tax and shipping.
Why did i choose that?
RG6 cable is an industry standard coaxial cable. That standard is defined with performance specifications (unless a purveyor is cutting corners by purchasing and reselling a bunk lot).
Monoprice HQ Subwoofer cable is RG6, which means it should have an 18AWG conductor, with a beefy insulator and double shielded. Monoprice further specifies their cables to be 97% pure OFC with copper braids rather than using any foil.

BJC LC1 is 25AWG. The Mogami cables are 24AWG. Based on what I claimed previously, the Monoprice 18AWG conductor is, in fact, "more robust."

Is it necessary? NO! :D Our Infrasonic Guru's here have even posted that the Amazon Basic Copper-Clad-Steel Subwoofer Cable is fine for a short-run low-voltage signal like a Subwoofer. @markw has stood up for Mediabridge which has a CCA conductor. I chose to pursue pure copper conductors for my system, hence, I chose Monoprice. They conduct electricity well. They do their job. They are reasonably priced.

Our friendly OP can buy any cable he chooses. I will not shame him if he chooses Audioquest or Amazon Basics. It is his system, and his Ducats. ;) I would be remiss, however, in not sharing my positive experience with Monoprice considering that I am satisfied with their performance in light of running one said cable right next to a power strip with my 5 amp power cords plugged into it, as well as the wall outlet that power strip plugs into. I have no interference. No hum. I am a satisfied customer. :)

I welcome you, please, to let us know what specs are most important to you about the cables you prefer. Perhaps I can learn something new, which I am always willing to do!!! :)

Cheers!

What spec is so important, especially for a sub cable.
For any long analog RCA cable, shield end-to-end resistance is what is important.
There can be up to 25dB difference in 'Common Impedance Coupling' noise between the best and the poorest cables that are sometimes used by audiophiles.

Or, if you REALLY wanna be cool you can always "roll your own" like I sometimes do. Nothing like a 1000' spool of coax, RCA ends and a compression crimper tool to get that cable length dialed in to perfection. ;)

Then ghosts the thread completely.

Thanks to responding to this thread I am now getting Blue Jeans Cable LC-1 subwoofer cable ads. Big Brother is indeed watching.

The other day I was working on my music library and had to look up some album cover art for about a dozen old albums. Today, fresh from Amazon, I had a dozen new fresh "deals" on all of the old albums I had to look up artwork for. Each with a picture of the album just to remind me that I was supposedly interested.

So, even if the OP did a drive by on this thread, rest assured Big Brother is watching and listening and ready to respond.

If it conducts electricity, it probably will. :)

I've used some of the rocketfish stuff in the past. Best Buy seems to overcharge for what it is. *shrugs I think I still have one of those connected to the old HTIB in the greatroom, in fact. *shrugs again.

Does it make a difference if both subwoofer cable are NOT the same lenght? One is 10 feet and the other is 25 feet.

No, but the distance from each sub to your seat might....electricity moves at a significant percentage of the speed of light so neither speaker cables nor interconnect lengths are to worry about....

Lol, never know having a Sub cable on hand is a good thing. Kind of like, you run across a great deal on a sub and there's nothing like getting your new sub home and having to order one or have to run down to your local store.
