When will Receivers support HDMI 2.1

Some 2019 TVs are supporting it,
Figured that means it will be wide spread by 2020 tv launch,

Now I know it’s for 8k but it also says in reviews it supports the new HDR10 + and fairly sure Dolby Vision will have something in the pipe line as well,

I have already switched everything over to hdmi 2.1 via monoprice just to future proof everything, not that it’s helping anything cause I have a 2016 flag ship Samsung TV and a 2018 hdmi 2.0 receiver,
But regardless it’s nice to be future proofed anyway, as I plan to buy a LG oled in 2020.

No 2019 TVs are actually supporting it to my knowledge. They are only supporting eARC which is part of the HDMI2.1 standard. The actual HDMI 2.1 standard calls for a 48Gb/s interface, which I'm unaware of any HDMI boards supporting yet, and none of the receivers supporting yet.

This is for 8K video, or about the most useless resolution on the face of the earth.

To my knowledge, nothing properly supports 12-bit color as part of the HDMI 2.0 standard yet. So, don't get overly excited about HDMI 2.1 unless there is some specific aspect you are really eager to utilize. Then, it is likely going to be a very long waiting game.

Some of the 2019 LG oleds support it,
I think I heard it was for the new hdr10+ and Dolby vision.

Having more cable then needed never hurts :)

Plus I’m getting 2020 oled that will support it,
And a receiver that does when released,
Read the denon 8500 does, so by next years release mid range receivers most likely will to.
Ps5 and new Xbox will probably to.
