So my buddy just got his 2 SVS PB4000 subwoofers. He is running them off a single breaker. I believe the amp is 1600 watts RMS. Off of one breaker with both subs and then the receiver and the projector the SVS subs are only gonna generate about 600 watts was my guess. He is going to finish his basement. Would it be worth it to get 2 more breakers and use one for each of his subs before he sheetrocks everything? I was thinking that would cost less than $1,000 which is worth it in my eyes since he spent almost $4,000 on the subs.

Don’t think he needs 2 circuits breakers. At most may be a 20 amp one. What else would he be running off the same circuit?

A dedicated 15 amp circuit might work for that sub set, but a 20 amp circuit would be better. The BD player probably isn't drawing much current but I definitely would not put a projector on the came circuit as two 1200 watt RMS subs.

Iirc you’re not supposed to use 20a breakers on 14/2 so I would make sure it has 12 gauge wire or pull new home runs. In practitioner might not matter but iirc that’s what the book says. Also, how’d you come up with $1000? Breakers are like 25 bucks. Lol

Yes he likes bass as loud as possible.
William: I meant the breaker and running the wire to his room to a new outlet.

This is why I had two 20a outlets run to the area my equipment is in. Never know when you'll need more power.

I'd spend the money on a dedicated outlet, but as you can see it get's expensive.

As @William Lemmerhirt said, you can replace the 15a breaker with a 20a breaker, but you better be sure about the wire because if something happens there's a good chance his home owners insurance won't cover it due to incorrect wire being used. 14/2 on a 20a breaker is illegal where I'm from.

I think he would be better off getting a new 15a breaker or even 2. One for each sub.
