AV Receiver Replacement

Hello all,
I have an Onkyo TX-SR703 that's about 15 years old. It is in amp protection mode, and I don't have the spare time to troubleshoot and replace components. I am looking for a replacement recommendation, less than $500. It's set up for the following: family room two front, two rear, center and subwoofer; kitchen two, dining room two, office two, deck two speakers each; kitchen, DR, office, deck each have HTD impedance matched volume controls and are on zone2. All ceiling speakers HTD SDXR65 8 ohm; deck Q50 8 ohm outdoor. SA-150 powered subwoofer from HTD. SS41 4-channel speaker selection box for zone 2 (HTD). I would like to support a DVD player and a Samsung smart TV, I also have an XM home receiver that I plug into the tape input with an Aux cord. The receiver is inside an entertainment center, but I have an exhaust fan that I had plugged into the switched outlet so it went on when the receiver was on. I understand that having anything in the switched outlet of an onkyo receiver has been implicated in causing my problem. If it would be better to have the receiver outside the cabinet due to heating concerns, that is definitely do-able since I have room in the tv section of the entertainment center. I can just have it under the tv. Any recommendations would be most welcome.
Regards,

Thanks for the suggestion. I saw great deals but also some not-so-good comments on A4L when I googled the company however.

You can now get the amazing AVR-X3400H for the incredibly low price of $1 below you budget for a brand new one.

Thanks Peng. I see that has been discontinued by the manufacturer, however.

Many of us have had no issues with A4L, problems usually arise due not understanding terms for returns...reading them is a good thing before you buy. Basically just not a place to buy from if you just want to return things because you changed your mind...it's not Amazon.

Another example of why buying brand new can be much better than buying refurbished.

Amazon brand new X3400: $500
A4L refurbished X3400: $450

Yes, that's why they are going for half price. Same for the RX-A2070.
