Built the “man cave” this winter. Looking for a versatile home theater system that’ll sound great playing video game and live sports audio but also music. Looking for clarity over loudness.

The question is more along the lines of...

What do you NEED?

Do you have any equipment already which you are happy with? Do you have a decent A/V receiver already? Or do you NEED an A/V receiver? Do you have any speakers? Or a subwoofer? If you ask for 'anything' that's what you will get.

Also, you should be specific about whether or not floor standing towers work better or bookshelf speakers, or on-wall/in-wall speakers work better for certain locations.

How did you wire for your 'theater' space? Did you wire?

What use do you have for video in the space? What do you watch and on what? How much video will you be watching vs. how much audio you will be listening to?

Q acoustics 3000 5.0 series package. Denon x2500. Hsu vtf2 mk5. $2100 well spent. If you can’t do towers they have a 5.0 bookshelf package too.

I don’t have any equipment yet. The ceiling is open so I can run wiring wherever I need to. In-wall speakers wouldn’t work but floor speakers and bookshelf speakers would work.
