Is the headphone jack on a typical AV receiver basically line level?
To be more specific of my situation, I bought a terrific radio with an aux input https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0753K294T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And if I want to take a shower and continue to listen to a news show or whatever, I was thinking I'd like to use the headphone out on my Yamaha HT receiver and bring the radio with me.
My RX-A670 has no other outputs that I can use for that.

Thx slippery for the link. Exactly as I expected. Just needed a little verification I guess. It's not a loooong run though. It's 20 or 25 feet. This ht is in my bedroom Just about any cable is shielded of course. I am not going to make my own from speaker cable.
If you can come up with a better way, please holler! My computer sound, in another room has an FM transmitter so I can work outside in the yard or on my truck and still listen to whatever is on my main system tv or computer. I use a small radio shack amp just as switching unit before the transmitter for that. So if it was audio from my computer system, I'd be covered of course.

Oh I see. I have Fox News on more than anything. I picked that radio because it has an mp3 input, digital tuning and will charge it's own batteries, which is cool. I didn't buy it for music at all.
It is such an awesome radio. Even AM sounds like FM on it. I just got it. My rechargeable batteries come tomorrow I think.
