Seriously, I have no life.
You didn't get the answers you wanted in the thread you started last year? What do you mean "it also has no record out..."? Look at the back- the jacks are clearly marked IN and OUT.

Do you want the Sherwood to control the volume, or do that with whatever it's connected to? You can use the Rec Out jacks for sending audio to another receiver, but the Sherwood will have to allow it. Try using the audio out jacks for VCR1.

If you do want the Sherwood to control the volume and you'll be sending the signal to a power amp, remove the jumpers from Pre Out-Main In and use a Y-cord.

yes i realize i could use pre out's, but i do not want to increase power, to the other receiver, mearly pass the signal, as i have done on my yamaha v2095, from record out, sherwood does not have this feature, i suppose i can use any other out, except phono, or just eliminate it from the line up, and use my yamaha v0710, wich has record out feature, on to my last receiver, thank for following my threads, for a year

How will using the preamp output increase the power? You wouldn't connect the Pre Out to Tape or another line in jack, only Main In.

The Sherwood has Rec Out jacks- why are you thinking that it can't use them for this purpose?

no, i do not wish to increase power, i know i could that way, i have several receiver's linked by useing the record out on back, to the auxillary in, on the front of each receiver inline, why, because i a'm utilizing the a/speaker main channel from each receiver, in stereo, to each pair of speakers in a very large area, as i do not like satilites, nor effect sound i realize i could go 7.i from my first unit, but dont want to, i suppose i could use some other out, on the sherwood, all of the rest of equipment is yamaha plus a harman/kardon receiver

true, but this cost's me nothing, except my sanity, wich is gone anyway lol, since i had all this old stuff, as i collect vintage audio, thought i would create this, i have used it and it performs perfect, it's just this dang sherwood, it also automatically goes to standby, then i must reset, speakers, aux. ect. may take it offline, but it sounds great, oh well, it's been fun, and i've learned from all the guy's on here, but i guess that's what the site's for thank's to everyone

Power output has nothing to do with the preamp- it's ONLY in the power amp, although higher input from the preamp makes it loud, sooner.

The Sherwood has REC OUT jacks- use them!

Show the back- if it's an AVR, it would be from about 1993, right? All analog audio & video, right? The photo from the other thread isn't correct? Why didn't you say that last year?

How can we help if you won't show us what you have?

TAKE A PICTURE AND POST IT!!!!

Some here are still trying to help, but all of us (I can promise you) are tired of asking about your setup and gear without any photos.

We can't find the back of your receiver online, and you are happy to post words, but an actual photo of the back of the receiver in high resolution would be SO helpful to every single one of us to give you guidance.

It may be time to post some photos of your somewhat insane setup so we have some idea what you are trying to accomplish as well since it seems like you have about 40 receivers in line with each other... for some reason.

Ever think about just getting an audio splitter?

I have 24 zones of audio in my home. I only use amplifiers for those stereo zones, and I use surround receivers for my surround zones. Everything else is handled by a 16x8 stackable preamp. I use 3 to get to 24 zones. I may need to add a fourth unit.
