Which q control works best for movies?
Which one for music?
Which one for all around play? set and forget. Which port do you plug?
Room 25x10 open entrance to adjacent room on the back left side
Sub is in front left corner farthest from the opening

Regarding the Q control, try different settings and keep whatever sounds best to you. There is no 'right' setting, its all a matter of preference. For ports, it doesn't matter which you plug on any of them except for the VTF-3 mk5. On that sub, if you plug a port, it should be the small one.

I thought a higher q was going to give me louder deep bass. I am finding that a lower setting hits so much better especially at higher volumes. My setting has worked it’s way to .5. I will live with it for a few days and maybe drop it down again just to see what happens.

yep, I do:
For moveis | EQ 1 mode - Q .3
For music | EQ 2 mode - Q.7

Give .7 a try for music. I'd think you'll like it. After six months of really playing with my sub that's what I found to be the sweet spot.

I have a sealed HSU sub but on other X-13s I have ports. I would recommend 2 ports sealed. Or maybe 1 port sealed depending on which you prefer. I've found with hip hop I like 1 port open. Jazz I like 2 ports sealed. It depends.

I F'ing love the ULS15 mkii. Was actually going to sell it when I got the x-13's but I could not part ways with it. The mid bass is fantastic and it's a very refined musical sub IMO. What made me choose it was #1. the price/ value/ quality and #2. @shadyJ 's review. You nailed that review Shady!
