hi, i have two yamaha v2095 receiver,s, digital capable, currently, i have the first one hooked to my samsung new tv, by digital optic cord, how can i link the two together by using digital in's and outs on receivers, i intend to abolish my analog receiver's, and only use these two, but, i want to be sure tv and tuner, on second receiver will carry original sound from first receiver, as it did when i was using it in analog, record out to auxillary in on next receiver, not sure if digita recod out to a digital input would do the job, and wich one's to use?

i have five receiver's, linked from record out, from first one, and so on, works great on tuner/cd/eq ect. as it's set up in analog, however my new tv is digital, i do have a converter, but just about to give up on all my receiver's , i have five set's of main speakers, running from front a speaker outlet on each receiver, as i do not like effect sound or satilite speakers, running two main's of first v2095 @16 ohms, may change that, but all in all it sounds great, also running five jbl subwoffers 400 watt-700 dynamic, thinking of just running the two v2095's as they have digital capabilty, if i can link them digitally,, and still feed allthe other components,cd/eq/ect.

Your analog pre-outs should work fine even when the source is digital.

I'm not sure that SPDIF (optical digital) outs are common on receivers. I would expect that to work though.
HDMI out should also work (not sure if all receivers move analog audio to HDMI out though; it's usually video focused out of the AVR)

There are likely some exceptions (SACD prevents some form of output IIRC; but that's likely at the player level) over DRM.

Remember, it's all analog once it leaves the amp and speakers.:D
