If you don't need the 11 channel processing... Don't get me wrong, it is a good device. But buy what you need. that 3500 should be a good path for at least a few years! ;)

Thanks. I am leaning towards the Denon. I think k it would be the more practical choice, then invest in the subs and speakers

Indeed. You get your 4K UHD and HDMI needs. You have pre-outs if you ever feel you need more power. It supports the Audyssey app if you decide to play with that.
For the cost, I think this is a smart choice!
If you decide to upgrade in 2-3 years for more channels or more power, you aren't out a large investment. Take good care you should be able to ride this for 3-7 if you choose. :)
And yes... extra $$$ for the subs!

I have Rythmik and HSU subs but in different rooms. Both are good choices. The LVX12 doesn’t have the mid bass output of the VTF2 but I still like it just a little better.

Thanks much for the replies and advice. This makes the decision process much easier, based on real life experiences and not just advertising feed.
