i have linked five receiver's together, by record out to auxillary in on next, and so on, my first yamaha v2095 has an eq-500, hooked to it, my question is, in this set up, will this one equlizer, pass through all units, or will i distort output by adding an equlizer per unit? i like the increased db output, also wondered will an equlizer affect the quality of output of my subwoffer's?

The equalizer should affect everything after it in the chain.
Why chain so many together, multiple rooms or just a massive amount of speakers?

i do have massive amount of speakers, all in one theater room, if further equlizer's, only prove to add more and more db's, wich could cause distortion i will remove them, but for example the harman/kardon, is low wattage, thought the extra db may help, guess i was thinking of more controll per receiver? what do you think?

It doesnt give more power to anything, just makes the amps clip earlier because they will be driven too hard. So many things in a chain can make the signal noisy and it wont be control per amp since each equalizer will modify the signal its given and affect the rest of the chain. The one equalizer at the beginning of the chain will give you the ability to modify the sound the way you like it by itself.

Also, by equalizing everything to to max you kill the dynamic potential of the system.

That sounds something I would do, I had a car stereo running of a car battery with about 15 speakers when I was 12

Every device that you add into the signal chain will add something to the final signal. Whether you can hear it or not is another issue.
