Got it working!! My current setup...

I called SVS, said to loosen and then retighten the posts while taking off and putting back on the jumper plate. Waala!!! May I present to you my lovely 2.0 system, Denon 4400, two SVS Ultra Towers, and my C7 65 inch OLED TV.

Any good tips on how to set my receiver would be much appreciated if anyone is familiar with it. I'll PM Danzilla, too, on this one.

Already ran Auddysey with it. Not sure if I ran it correctly entirely mind you, but I ran it....lots of times. LOL

I think there is an Audyssey setup thread here on the forum with a lot of info on how to do it for best results.

Speakers might be a bit too close together, hard to say from just the one picture but they should be more or less in an equal sided triangle with the main listening position.

Does the denon reciever get enough air where it is? Denon and Marantz units usually run a bit hot so really need good ventilation.

Stupid bi-wiring terminals! Glad you got it figured out without further ado. Running Audyssey is what I'd do, altho it doesn't do a whole lot for 2.0 setups compared to using with a sub and more speakers...but at least will enable Dynamic EQ which would probably be worth it for lower listening levels. Otherwise simply use settings you enjoy, altho with just 2.0 there's not lots of sound modes to experiment with either....

First off, congrats on getting the speakers working! Glad you didn’t have to go through the hassle of shipping them back or anything.

A rule of thumb (if your room is big enough) is to make an equilateral triangle of your listening position and the speakers. In other words while sitting, you’d measure the distance from your head to the face of a speaker. Then position the speakers such that that same distance is between their tweeters. Then you “toe in” by adjusting their angle in or out until you hear the best sound.

That sounds like a lot, and the truth is, you do what soiunds best to you (or what space affords). I can’t properly space my 2 large speakers (aiming for bigger rooms in the next house we buy) but I’ve done the best I can with them and am still extremely satisfied. But don’t be scared to experiment a little bit with placement. You hear the term “soundstage” a lot in speaker reviews... it’s the holy grail everyone in this hobby chases.

Placement relative to the display depends on how big your "TV" is. My speakers are right under the edges of the screen on my projector system so that "panned dialog" (when it's used) works correctly and sounds align with the screen in general. For smaller TVs, this could be an issue of killing off sound separation, though.

So here's how I have it right now, and here's a few angles of my room better, too. I have it at least 17 inches from the front corner of the entertainment stand to the speaker and a little over 18 inches from the subwoofer port to the back wall.

From looking at the relative placement in your room, I’m going to say you’ve got them in just about the best spot you can. Since the Ultras have side woofers, putting that right one any farther into the corner will probably cause you bass issues, unless the receiver’s EQ can smooth it out.

Can I suggest you try a CD or a FLAC file of your favorite artist (Or even a Blu Ray Concert) instead of Spotify? I'm betting you'll hear a substantial difference.

Okay, so here comes the relative inexperience again. First, how would I hook up a CD player to the setup? Too, what is a FLAC file, and how do I play it?

The easiest and most practical would probably be a blu-ray player connected with a HDMI cable to the reciever to play a CD and to watch blu-ray movies. Its the same kind of cable you have between the reciever and the tv.

So my Xbox One X plays CDs, huh? Still I only have but a handful of CDs anymore. Is there high quality downloadable content?
