@ANewb: Don't become a bachelor for bass. it's worth it, but there are some things bass can't do for you.:cool:
Just remember Ryanosaur reel him in nice and gently.... Don't be forceful you'll scare him away. Show him the true power of the dark side of the Force!

SVS would be my first choice in your area. If your handy, you could go the DIY route

In general I think I'd go the DIY route from what I've read about Australia in various audio group/fora. Your choices are quite limited there for commercial offerings as well as what they cost there. OTOH for the relative ease of buying some splitters and rca cables and with the available the deal on the other two Yamaha subs......that would tide you over until you want to get some more serious subwoofage going (if you do).

Indeed, I gotta agree with Lovin here... as much as I would love to encourage your spending more on SVS now... especially bigger SVS... like the 3000 or 4000...
If you can score that deal on those yamaha subs, you'll get the taste of what could be. ;) The DIY path has a lot of merit. I'm reading the books myself so I can learn how to. In no time, you can build up your own forest of 18" subwoofers! But at least then you'll have subs to play with while you build some SUBS!
