I just bought a huge curling rink, with a small living quarters on the one end (15'x50' on the one end) the possibilities are truly endless inside foe everything inside!!! building is 50' x 175'. I was huge into car audio since I was 16 years old. Im getting tired of my gear/autos getting ripped off over the years, and want to focus on a kick a$$ home theater set up finally. ive been stock piling gear for a few years now (single, and full time welder) in anticipation of this transition.
just bought a --- denon avr x4500h
have (bear with me here) :
polk tsi 500 (pair)
polk tsi 400 (3 pairs)
polk tsi 200 (2 pairs)
polk rti a9 (1 pair) probably best kept for stereo playback
polk csi a6 centre (x2)
(2) cant remember cerwin vega powered subs (500w rms each 12")
1000' spool of monster cable 12 ga.
75" 4k tv.
4k Blu-ray player
monster power cleaner

extras;
nuance grands 6' tall models...… stupid loud
nuance baby grands 5' models.... again, stupid loud.
nuance baby grand spatial sentre chanell beast.
nuance spatial towers

energy c-series (x9) currently using with cc-series centre and energy servo series sub. and denon 1912 amp
will be turning this setup into the everyday setup.

also have the energy take 5 setup too.
also have the energy micro setup also.
also have the energy rc-mini micro setup..... all great sounding gear if set up properly..... supprisingly happy

really looking for advise on "real dimentions" for sound room. I was thinking maybe 12' (front wall) x 16' (back wall) x 22' side walls. any and all ideas/suggestions welcome PLEASE

I was even thinking of doing a loaded horn set up with a tapered horn/false wall as I still have (2) 18" FI "Q" subs I could utilise understanding id need a 30' horn plus the extra gear.

If I were going to create a "real" home theater, I'd be looking at high output speakers from danley, jtr, jbl, seaton, Klipsch thx, Atlantic technology thx, jamo thx, etc. All behind an acoustically transparent screen, with treated walls, floors, etc. IMHO

Rather than room treatments, think room design. Design a room wrong and no amount of treatments will really did it...do a reasonable build and you are light years ahead in getting good sound. I did a full build dedicated home theater in 2003/2004. I posted lots in the forums as I went through the build. Search through my old posts.
