I just purchased a Insignia receiver and she thumps my Bose floor speakers 501 series.. And I kept hearing bass notes and waves Ive heard before and when I looked to see who makes them Orion was one name that shot out at me.. Like my old two 10in 800watt ferrio liquid injected subs.. Those subs made me a bass lover and I just felt it again with this new receiver.. Feels fantastic..

I have three Insignia receivers (I am listening to one now), and I like them. I think they are made by whoever makes Sherwood receivers because I also have two of those, and the Sherwood and Insignia remotes work with either brand. Peace and goodwill.

Yup...
Parent company is Inkel Corp. (Seoul, Korea) their factory is in Vietnam, their major OE customers are Denon & Marantz.. Note that they do own the Sherwood brand, and build about 10K of that stereo receiver platform a month..

Just my $0.02... ;)

Sort of off topic but I've been real happy with Insignia products, I've owned 2 of their TVs for 5 years with absolutely zero issues.
