Open Baffle not just for 2 channel

I am new to home theater and on a whim decided to temporarily connect my tv to my open baffle speakers.
I was surprised how well the vocals and sound effects came thru in lifelike realism. Now if I only had the room
for another pair to run in surround.

I connected my open baffle Hawthorne Audio Rainier MK III Signature Editions and McIntosh MC-2000 and 300 wpc matching plate amplifiers to my video system to get an idea of how well they would sound with movie soundtracks. They exceeded my expectations in realism. The 15" cultured marble AMT really brings out the vocals in speech as it plays from 40 khz to 500 hz. Of course having 15" midrange driver and 2 15" bass drivers also helps with large sounds of soundtracks. As they play down to 20 hz (+/- 3db) no real need for a subwoofer for my needs.

If you just had a 3rd Hawthorne and a FP video system with acoustically transparent screen you'd be in heaven.

What is a FP video system?
Front projection with a perforated screen or super micro perforation or use a spandex white sheet with a wooden frame with speakers behind it. Nice open baffle speakers.
