Denon AVR-X4300H Audio dropping

Certain apps can have dropout issues. My Roku plugged in to the TV, just to upgrade it to a smart, has no problems. My main TV connected to the Yammy on the other hand does have HDMI audio issues with its apps.

Netflix and Amazon have both exhibited repeated audio drops, usually a second or so. Playing through the TV speakers its never a problem, but via ARC the drop can be every few minutes, it's annoying but no need to reset anything. I switched the audio to optical and the problem seems gone. I also get a problem when both the TV and projector are both on at same time. It usually only happens once after a minute or two and once the TV is off it doesn't happen again. This is from an external Media PC source. It has not happened with just the TV.

Is yours 4300? I have no drop out issue with my 4400 so far but my Apple TV is not 4K, other than that all the Apps using TV Audio has no drop out using optical or ARC except after a rewind it would stutter for a couple seconds but will continue after that without any issues.

The roku is just plugged in the old samsung telly and uses the TV speakers. It has no problems.

The main TV is the LG 55" oled. That was connected to yammy and I was trying to use ARC to get sound out of Netflix and Amazon Tv apps. The Amazon seemed the worst for dropouts when watching the Grand Tour. Since I switched to using the optical, no problems at all. Picture was always ok regardless, sound if just through the Tv speakers was fine. Only trying via audio return did the problems appear. Other apps I think were fine but then I don't tend to use it that much with all the toys turned on. The media Pc or xbox via the yammy to the LG never has this problem.

It certainly could be related to the 4k, dolby vision, hdr thing. So 1080 or lower may not have shown this up. It was noticeable and annoying. The other issue with the projector is I think just a re-negotiation thing for signal with two active outputs.

The Roku (and the rest of the equipment) is plugged into a UPS currently. I watched netflix last night through my Xbox One without issue...

I have the Yammie 2060 and the Apple 4K TV and no issues so far. I just got the Apple this morning though.

Probably, but most people's complaints seem to be about Roku.

Found lots of complaints about the Roku, so I purchased an Nvidia Shield last night. It does everything I needed and actually replaced both my Roku and Raspberry Pi. (HDHomerun was not really available on the Roku - 3rd party only).
