The only thing I see in my opinion dividing us is money. Everything boils down to it. The rich need to give their money to everyone else, everytime, there is no reason the rich should be rich. Untill everyone has exactly the same cash flow and materials, nonsense like this will continue. This is my opinion because it's what I consistently see and read. ( I have no issue with the 1%) No one makes enough but no one wants to put the time in. No it's not always the case, but usually is. People hate trump bc hes effing loaded. But no one hates 'their' choice in a career politician, who has made extreme wealth doing nothing different than any other politician.
I dont think anyone has done a better job, left or right. At the end of the day or their term, The rich get richer and poorer get poorer. Not because the poor are getting less but bc the rich are getting more, expanding the gap. Correct me if I'm wrong but hasnt the poverty line increased? But that gap will always exist.
And this allocation of other peoples' money will be controlled by whom, exactly? When has a Communist or Socialist regime been led by someone who doesn't take a huge chunk of the pie and set up others for the Friends & Family deal? NEVER! It has NEVER happened and to think that it CAN happen is just foolish.
Why should someone work their ass off, only to have someone take what they earned from them, based on the sad feelings of others who do damn near nothing, because they didn't share all of it?
It's not money, by itself, it's the greed and avarice that people become prevalent when feelings of inadequacy cause the ones who can make a lot of money, do anything that might be immoral/amoral/illegal to get it.
Money is money- people with money often become neurotic about losing it and often, people who have never had it piss it away as soon as it lands in their lap but it's not usually because they did anything good with it, it's because they have no idea how to manage it.
Many (too many) people seem completely unable to see any fault in their candidate and that's why we end up with crappy people in office. Nobody has the stones to call them out before the election and that's how they get away with this stuff.
Make no mistake, Liberals are just as in love with money as Conservatives- the difference is that Liberals like to find ways to force the wealthy to share it, by force. Bernie Sanders is a perfect example. He grew up poor, his dad died when Bernie was relatively young and he thought his life was crap. He went to college and decided that others should share their wealth and he has been in some kind of political office for a long time- telling people what they want and saying "I can get that for you" is a great way to stay in office.
There's also the issue of "How is someone Liberal or Conservative?"- is it fiscally, or socially? Too many are ignoring the question, so they can lump others with a (D) or an (R) near their name and feel good about saying they hate those "others". I know plenty of people who consider themselves to be hippies, but are fiscally conservative and others who dress and act very conservative, but are fine with big government.
I know some extremely wealthy people and many are Democrats. Some are a lot more sane about their money and some are just greedy, show off and act as if they're just better because of it. THEY'RE the problem, not the fact that some people have and others don't. Some don't care about money and having a lot of possessions- you want to give more to them?
