So let's start off with what I have iv got a set of Paradigm Tribute floorstanding speakers powered by a REDGUM Signature Series RGi120ENR. Integrated amplifier.
ww.redgumaudio.com/product/black-rgi120enr/
And a small Pro- ject DAC .
I had plans to make it a 2.1 system one day with a subwoofer and a good Media DAC to improve the sound and experience from the digital world we live in.
Tho now I'm thinking of different path ,
I'd like for starters a 3.1 systems with the option of having the upgraded opportunity to atmos down the track.
Iv looked through audioholics reviews for some AV recever that have pre outs and the options that I've come up with are
marantz NR1606 ,1607,1608
Marantz ST 5011,5012
Or an Denon X3400H as I'm try to buy 2nd hand and keep the cost down as money for toys as such is little tighter as it was when I got the speakers and amp.

As for center speaker (3 wege maybe? ) and sub I have no idea pairing option's .
Muchly looking forward to ideas and help
Cheers

Have you listened to other Paradigm models? Not sure which would match up well with these. I have owned a number of Paradigms and they're all familiar since they make their own drivers, but the lines have different sound to them. These have beryllium tweeters, but they may sound similar to something in the current lines. More likely you'll be looking for used, though I know the Tribute line is fairly rare. Obviously, if you could find a Tribute center, that would be ideal, but something from the Signature series, which also had beryllium tweeters, might match up well.

Since you're looking used for AVR, check www.ac4l.com - Marantz and Denon refurbs with factory warranty and a well known source around here.

What do you have for a room ? Size and shape … I always look at the room first .. I like the science part of set up. and people seem to forget that your room and any room can only contain a certain amount of sound energy before it reacts in a bad way.. So what I am try to say is if music only go with sweet spot 2/3rds from front wall and dead center from left and right wall . and fronts 30 degrees from sweet spot. You don't need huge speakers for a average sized room .. And I put sub dead center one foot from front wall.. This works well for me. Maybe not for you .. But a good starting point. Have fun post some pics

Seriously, I have no life.
Welcome to AH.

Why would you consider a 3.1 Atmos setup?
Without the other surround speakers I don't think it is a worthwhile consideration.

@mtrycrafts I took it to mean he wants 3.1 to start, with option for Atmos later....

Personally I'd avoid the slimline receivers, good idea of looking at accessories4less.com for more options than just used.

What's a 3 wege?

Thanks very much for the tip I'm having trouble finding Paradigmas I bought the speakers in Australia before I moved to Germany. So that means also the USA links are super good for idea but not so good to buy and sent to Germany.
Also do you think a Good Av Recver as a preamp will help the speakers sind little better?

I have no idea what "wege" is. Do you mean a horizontal style center speaker? I think the slimline receivers are a bit lightweight in terms of amp and features. I'd look at no less than Denon's 3300/3400 models myself, maybe equivalent Marantz units if you can get a good price. Maybe Yamaha. Onkyo/Pioneer haven't re-entered my recommendation list yet :). Really have no idea of pricing/model availability in Germany, though.
