I remember when my friends Dad went NUTS when he came home and we were CRANKING B-52's on his Classical music ONLY stereo system. I never understood his anger until I heard Country Music being played on my system .. Now I get it

LOL, I understand but honest, I am very different.

It brings a smile to my face to see my kids use my stereo no matter what they play.

In fact, I am considering a new pair of speakers and a big part of the decision is based on my daughter's enjoyment of the current ones she uses when I am not around.

Anyone enjoying music of any kind just makes me feel kin.

Lol..”Country music”..somes not to bad, “we don’t smoke no marijuana“ but thy sure drink that home made moonshine.. lol. Anyways true story going way back guys 80,s about 88 my youngest son no more than 3 years old was use to seeing me load a VHS tape in my top load VCR. Well one day I came home for work had supper, took shows went rent a movie at Blockbuster. Well kid loved Toasted melted cheese sandwiches, popped open the top load and low and behold, yep you guessed it A Cheese sandwich was in the load rack! I first I was like, WTF? Lil Man comes up to me goes see Dad I put the tape in. Started lmao! Took me like hour and half to clean it all out 900 buck VCR. Lol

I went Okay it’s my fault for showing him how to put a tape in and your fault for letting him eat in the living room. If you guys are married than you know them eyes you get and the silent treatment. Movie went on and my two Sons got to stay up late cause of the 1 1/2 hour to clean. Lol

I call my wife the Lawyer for the grandsons LOL they are a lot of fun and they both love music .. Its part of being a boy … Just try to keep damage to a low level

Had a similar but a little scarier experience with a curious 3~4 year old (friend's son, while visiting my place). Instead of a Cheeze Sandwitch, he put his hand inside the load slot. That triggered the entire load sequence, including trapping his hand as the carrier moved down towards the playback head.

LOUD screaming, I wasn't sure what to do, killing power didn't change anything, so I just grabbed his wrist and pulled. His hand came out, there was a lot of "there, there" from mom, but no real damage done.

Poor lil dude huh, I can only imagine his horror. Lol. That’s the thing about those topload VCR,s as soon as the tape is fully inserted it automatically loads top starts down and not slow either. That did run through my mind how Matthew got that sandwich in and his lil tiny hand out the way? Very lucky I guess, from that day on the VCR had its own power strip.

He is, isn't he?

He learned that you place something in the slot. He has that part down,. Next he needs to learn exactly what it is you place in the slot. He's halfway there. You don't punish for getting half the lessen right, you continue the leaning process.

Everything is better with music .. I have speakers wired in kitchen for when cooking .. and my grand son points at speakers and say tell Papa to put some music on when were cooking … He is 3

Its all good some flavors I like better than others.. I can get how you would only like what you want to hear on your system though .. I still laugh at that guys face in my mind as we were cranking ROCK LOBSTA.. on his classical only system. He was in spazams and we all just kept dancing and laughing .. Damn Hippie music .he said....When it happened to me at 50 on my system country just makes my eye twitch a little that's all
