If you really want that system to be a super system, you might think about rotating that center speaker 90 degrees so that it is standing on it side. That will do a lot to improve its performance. As it is, it probably only sounds good on direct axis. You would probably have to raise the TV a bit to make that happen, but it really would be a better system. Horizontal MTMs always have a miserable response at every angle off direct axis.

That is an interesting idea. I saw the pictures of Pogre’s System where he used a 3rd identical SVS Ultra bookshelf in the center and it was positioned upright.

Strange, speaker companies sell a good number of them. My own KEF R200c doesn't seem to exhibit that characteristic.

Looks great!
...but I have to ask, didn't these replace a pretty nice RBH setup?
Everything I have heard from RBH was well designed, but I have never heard RSL speakers!
Did you find the RSL's better?
We need details, man!!! What is your experience?! How did this happen?!

The reason for that is your R200c was not an MTM. The M surrounds the T as a coaxial driver, and the bass drivers are crossed over at 500 Hz, where mostly the room dominates the behavior more than lobing artifacts. That is how you want to do it. But when you just place a tweeter between to midwoofers on a horizontal plane, you will always have a subpar response outside of a 10 degree angle or so.

Looks really great man. Congrats!
I do have to ask though, if the huge plant in front of the center has any negative effects. It is a lovely plant, but personally I would not be ok with that.
Did you deal with joe?
