I agree with Denon X3xxx recommendation. It would your best bet. Do keep in mind that I also own older Onkyo 805. I work fine, but I had to do a minor repair (replacing a couple of resistors) to it, to fix the display on it. Don't get me wrong 805 is a beast, but I'd never get another Onkyo ever again.
Also, I highly recommend to purchase Denon as new or "used", not refurbished.
Used (sold by an authorized reseller, like amazon or electronic expo) more often than not means simply open or slightly damaged box. or minor cosmetic imperfections (you won't find these without a magnifying glass)
The big difference is Denon AVRs sold as new and/or used get full 3 years warranty.
Refubs only get 1 year.
