Good fit?

Trying to plan for a 15x25 foot "home theater" room. Front channels will either be Definitive Technology BP30s or BP2000s, and a CLR2000 for the center. I've got Bpvx's for the sides and Pro Tower 400s for the rear. For the sub I've got an SVS 16-46 pc plus for the sub. What I'm asking is whether or not this svs is a good sub for this set if speakers, and if I'll be better off with 2 of them?

The consensus here seems to be SVS is a good sub, and to have at least 2 subs is best, but there is more expert advice here on Audioholics.

I believe the SVS 16-46 PC Plus is one of their original cylindrical stand-up subs. The current model to that would be the PC12 Plus.

I'd prefer two of the same sub myself, not sure how close the current iteration is, tho. Dual subs can help smooth response in the room and give a little extra headroom....but subs don't need to "match up" to the speakers particularly, as long as they perform adequately in the range required.
