Looking for an advise Marantz PM1 S1 or Parasound Halo integrated

Hi,

Marantz PM1 S1 or Parasound Halo integrated?

I have the chance to buy a used PM1 S1 or Parasound Halo integrated. I am not an expert on this and i would like if you guys can shed some light on which one has better sound quality as amplifier........ I think that Parasound has a good DAC but not really interested if the integrated DAC of the units are better one of the other..... I have a good external DAC unit, So not the integrated DAC is not that important. I want to focus, as I said, which one would you pick based in the sound quality.

My speakers are JAMO C109.

Are they used? If both are used, but in top condition, I would take the Marantz for sure. If new, neither one represents good value in terms $ for audio quality.

That makes it a little tougher, if the Marantz is in very good condition, it would still be my choice. It is better looking, better specs and more powerful. If power is not the issue for either, then I do not believe you can hear a difference between them but I would still take the Marantz for the good look, this is of course subjective. I happen to own both brands, AVP, mch amp and two channel separates, no bias at all from me.
