2500 UNDER Floor speaker questions low end

I have done some research but want some real world feedback. With a budget up to 2500. Can anyone let me know the lowest bass in room measurement. Or in other words what tower speaker will produce the lowest bass response in the budget range.

I think you are basically looking at the mid-20's at the lowest. One of the deeper digging tower speakers out there in this price range is the SVS Ultra towers, and that specs with a -3dB frequency of 28 Hz. Most towers wouldn't be doing much below 30 Hz until you get to some of the very large and expensive ones. If you want deep digging tower speakers in that price range, one thing you can do is simply set some bookshelf speakers on top of some subwoofers and viola, tower speakers with unusually low extension (although a unusually large footprint as well).

Ha.. Every where I post I get the same thing about book shelf and sub combination. I was curious about towers in case I missed one that was better in the bass department. For a true 2.0 system, I know I won't get the true effect as a 2.1.

Bookshelves plus sub 2.1 certainly works out less expensive if you want full range.
I think the Phil 3 is your best option for a full ranger, but that will run you $3500 plus shipping and the form factor may not work for your room.
As far as integration, if you are willing to put in the time and have flexibility for locating your subs, you should get good integration.
However, you should also consider that with full range speakers, you have a two-fold requirement. You need to position your speakers for their best sound stage, but that might not be the best place for your 20-80Hz bass come from.
Since you have a sub now, you might play with a sub crawl and see how the subs would sound in the area you would expect your speakers to be located.

PS - Next time put a $ sign in front of the price. I was expecting to find out what a "model 2500 under floor speaker" was and why in the hell anyone would make a speaker that goes under the floor!

Great Point. Under floor speakers. That would be a good idea with incorporating grills in the floor like AC vents. That might be the next Dolby thing. 360 speaker effect.

True effect? What specifically do you mean? Full frequency response perhaps? Subs will indeed do that, for less expense, and more optimal results re placement (as Kurt mentioned a couple posts up).

There really isn't anything more "true" about 2.0, although given the typical room response down low, truly full range speakers in 2.0 may be better than 2.1 (multiple sources of bass for modal smoothing). A dual or multi sub rig would be even better.

Not sure what the +/- 3db is on these but rated down to 20 Hz and close to your budget.
