Center channel ohms on denon 530bt

So I bought 2 orb speakers to use as center channel on denon 530bt....
I know enough about speakers that when I double them up, they will go from 8 ohms a piece to 4 ohms combined. Is this a problem when hooking up to single center channel?I'm guessing that I'm going to put them together? I did check the denon specs, and for me, it's unclear. Help a noob out?

The 530BT is an entry-level AVR, I would stay clear of connecting a 4 Ohm load keep it @ 8 Ohms.

The Orb speakers are fairly sensitive @89dB..
In a typical room 12'x 12' U should able to get adequate volume...
However if U intend to play @ louder levels I would recommend that upgrade the AVR.

Just my $0.02... ;)

Why do you want to double up on center speakers? Comb filtering would be one reason not to, as well as the low impedance for that avr (which is likely to dip below 4 in parts of the spectrum, for two nominal 8 ohm speakers).

I thought it would be good to increase center channel coverage

I have a short entertainment center. I plan on setting it on the center

My theatere room isn't very big. It is longer than it is deep. So projected sceen is 12 feet from couch (deep) and i have a sectional going the length about 16 feet.

I meant the speakers' placement relative to each other. I've read posts from some who've done this where they placed them above and below their projection screen with acceptable results....

I'm even more confused now. Where are the L/R and other speakers? You're putting centers to the sides of the screen?

ps That is a lot of sofa for that room!

L and r are mounted at ceiling line as shown on boards. Center is sitting on entertainment center.

Okay, thought your L/R were the orbs you were talking about for center. I didn't/don't see an orb on the console, tho.

What was the optimal spot?[/QUOTE
The optimal spot was behind the couch because the room is too small for my couches! Haha,
I didn't check where the sub sounded the best because there's no room for it anywhere else.
