Yamaha Home Theater Glitch

We bought a Yamaha receiver an RX V697. With that we have Yamaha speakers, an Amazon Fire, a VD player, VHS player, and a BenQ projector MX723 3700 ANSI LUMENS MHL Connectivity. When we use the dv/vhs all works well. When we use our internet that is Ethernet connected to the Yamaha some days all is well other days is a crap shoot. the glitch we get sometimes is every 30 miutes other times every 2 minutes. We have had two technitions out and they can't find the problem.
We are thinking it is the receiver. We have switched internet providers, replaced the amazon fire. This has been going on for the full year we have had the entertainment system.

After all that, no information other than you’re having a “glitch.” Exactly what does it look like, sound like or other tangible manifestation? How is all this equipment connected to the Yamaha?

Good point. By glitch I mean that it goes to the BenQ Title screen, it will pause, go back to the streamed video which is paused, we push the play button. Mostly it starts the video again, but it will stay on for 2-5 minutes before going to the BenQ Title Screen. However, there are days, when we can watch literally all day without a glitch.

We put our entertainment center in a nearby closest but leave the door ajar always. We have a sensor on the outside wall that we point the remotes to and it has a direct connection to the Yamaha receiver.
The Internet has a direct connection to the Yamaha receiver, as does the dvd and vhs units. The internet goes from the internet receiver to the Amazon Fire that goes into the Yamaha Reveiver.

The dvd not vhs ever does the glitch. When we use our laptop to watch movies, there is no problem.

You didn’t say how all your source components are connected to the Yamaha, or define what the "it" in your first line is, but I’ll take a shot at this anyway.

The Yamaha’s internet connection is only for streaming audio content such as Pandora , so it will have nothing to do with this. My first suspicion would be the Fire stick (our Google Chrome is blinky and freezes up all the time). I’d suggest trying it somewhere else in the house – like, plugging it directly into a TV – before you determine the receiver is the problem.

I’m also wondering what this MHL Connectivity business is as well – if it’s wireless, it’s probably untrustworthy.

The Yamaha receiver is connected to the BenQ projector with and HDMI to HDMI. No wireless there. We have made sure there are wires to everything except the remotes that go to the Yamaha receiver. I will look at my hookups to the back of the Yamaha from the firebox and dvd and vhs units.

I believe that would be a wired way to connect a phone to the projector....
