For sale is my Marantz 8801. Original owner, like new condition. Includes unit, remote, power cord, Audyssey mic, possibly the accessories if I can find them.

Definitely not getting out. Restructuring I guess you would call it. Built a new house, but the basement is going to take me awhile to finish so I’m setting up shop in a spare bedroom. The only problem is that the spare bedroom is too small to accommodate my screen and projector so I decided to sell those instead of hang on to them. It’ll be interesting because it’ll give me the chance to try a fixed screen and maybe that Optoma 4K projector. I’m selling the Marantz because I want to try the 7704 for the 4K stuff and for the Auro 3D, Dolby Atomos, and DTSX.

It’ll be good practice in wiring and everything for when I do the basement.

Nice. Sounds like a good plan. I just made the 4K jump over the past month. Picked up the X7200WA, Oppo 203 and JVC RS-420. So far everything is great. I am getting the necessary 30ft fiber hdmi cable from the wife for Christmas so we will be tuning into our first 4K flick Christmas day. You should give the guys a call that you got the 8801 from. I'm sure they work something out on the 7704 for you. They could not get any of the last few 7200's that were reduced or I would have got it from them.

Geez. That's a great deal. Always had my eye on the 8801. It's definitely one of my favorite pre/pros. Too bad I'm not in the market at the moment!
