Sadly the Fat Man has died and moved on to the grand buffet in the sky. Just last week I had picked a collection of his years at Reprise Records (Sweet Patootie: Complete Reprise Recordings) and was about to fill in the meta-data and give it a good listen

Fats Domino known mostly for the song Blueberry Hill and Ain't That A Shame has died.
I was sent some of Fats music and I'm really diggin' it. His catalog goes so much deeper than Blueberry Hill and Ain't That A Shame.

Both Fats Domino and Chuck Berry died this year. It's sad that they're gone, but I'm glad that both of them lived long enough to see how their music influenced things for many decades. That had to be satisfying.
