Upgrade Home theater from 7.1 to Atmos - Appreciate suggestions

Hi,

I haven't upgraded my home theater for long time and thought it will be nice to upgrade from 7.1 to Atmos as well my old equipment.


My current equipment:

• 2X Front Speakers - JBL L880
  
• Center - JBL LC1
  
• 4 X Surround speakers - JBL Venue Series TOUR
  
• 1X SUB - SVS SB-12-NSD
  

Upgraded Last week:

• Receiver = Yamaha TSR 7810
  
• 2X Dolby Atmos Add-On Speakers - Pioneer SP-T22A - LR (Placed them on top my front Speakers)
  
• 4K player - Sony UBP - X800
  

My questions:

1) Do you see any flaw with the current Speakers models set up I own? Personally sounds ok to me for last few years But any recommendation to enhance my experience is welcome.

2) Which Speakers/ Equipment will you suggest to upgrade in future (<$1200)?

Q1...if we look hard enough, probably 98% of the time we'll find a speaker that performs better than what we have. To answer your question though, no...if it sounds good to you I would leave well enough alone.

Q2...idk how large the space is, but for HT I'd want a beefier SUB at some point, maybe two ported models.

Why not proper atmos speakers? Hard to mount on/in ceiling?
