AVR cooling fan

Well I pulled the trigger on the AC Infinity S9 cooling fan. Found it online for $65 I believe. All I can say is I highly recommend it. It's only about an inch and a half tall with rubber feet sits on top of the AVR has three 5 inch diameter fans on top of it and the really awesome thing about it is that there are three modes you can put it in. right now I'm running it in the auto mode which the speed of the fans are directly related to the amount of heat the AVR is building. When I first plugged it up they came on full blast and in about 30 seconds they automatically started getting slower and slower and now after about two hours of the AVR being on they're running on their lowest speed and no you can not hear them at all.
In the auto mode you basically set it and forget it

I have one as well. Don't remember the exact model number. I don't know how much it actually runs anymore, but my AVR never has to deal with heat buildup. I used to keep track, but now I have the LED circle gismo on the front turned off because I am distracted by flashy things. I can give the Aircom units two thumbs up. I think @Pogre has one too.

But you guys check on these now and then or would it be visually distinct if they for some reason stop functioning? Wouldn't be good to have them sitting on top of a unit and not working....

Yeah I'm thinking about turning the White Center indicator off also. I might do it in a few weeks after I see what speed and how often the fans come on. I got the Denon 6300 running all 11 amps so it's building up a little bit of heat ..
I'm with you on the two thumbs up though. love it . it has to help and maybe even prolong the life of the unit for a few years. ( hopefully.lol )

There's two other small indicator lights that come on on the unit.
And the more I think about it maybe we could find some sort of sticker that would still allow you to see it ever so slightly through it. Just something to dim it down because it is a little on the bright side.

I have master/slave power cord on my receiver so I went cheap route and bought power supply like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000MGG6SC/ and two fans like these https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008G3OLRQ/ and the fans are on top of my reveiver with felt pads. So every time I turn my receiver on there is 220CFM air flow and you cant hear the fans from listening position and when I turn the receiver off the fans stop as well.
