Receiver upgrade or not .

I just recently watch the Denon AVR-X3300W Receiver and it peaked my interest.
At the moment I have the Yamaha RX-V779 Receiver which I'm happy with though some music does come through a bit brought for my liking. To negate this problem I've added a amp to the pre out front speakers for playing 2 channel music.
The amp is a emotiva a 100 bass driving focal aria 906 speakers.
I also have a Audiolabs mdac+ which I run my Cambridge CXC CD transport through plus I can plug my iPhone and a chrome cast audio in and use the DAC from my mdac+. I also have a turntable and my TV service runs through the receiver.
Its like spaghetti junction behind my unit.
I have a 5.2 system a 55" plasma for home cinema 1080p and Panasonic blue ray player.
I would like to up grade to 4K when it is practical to do so.

My question is, is it worth upgrading to the Demon X3300W from my Yamaha.
The reason I'm picking the Demon is space restrictions. My Yamaha just fits in the space I have with some breathing room.
I can't change this because of wife acceptance.
The Demon is basically the same size. I will not be changing from 5.2 the system is in a room 4m by 4m by 3m high I don't have room for rear channels. I could afford a much more expensive receiver but there all larger units and would not fit in the space I have.

IS THE DENON A WORTHWHILE UPGRADE OR WOULD I BE WASTING MONEY.

Thanks.

Depends what the different features are worth to you if changing to the Denon. That limited space for the avr would be more worrisome, are you using some active cooling? Just what are the details/measurements of the space you're putting the avr into?

The front of the unit is glass sliding doors which is left open when the unit is on, there is enough room at the back to have banana plugs fitted and still shut the doors its open on 1 side about a 2" gap the other and 3" gap on top there are ventilation slots at the back never had a problem with over heating. I don't think the amps are stressed even when playing loud the front speakers are being run off the emotiva and that's in a separate section but with a solid sliding door my htpc is in there as well but loads of room and the door is open when working, and my powered sub's are in the open dealing with the bass.

Still less than the recommended free air space by the manufacturers these days.....I'd add a fan myself...
