Hi,
I have been struggling with installing EAC for most of the day and can't seem to find any answers online so far. I am probably just missing something really simple but I just can't set the drive offset.
Laptop: HP Pavilion running windows 10
External USB Drive: LiteON eBAU108 6
Exact Audio Copy version: 1.3
I got to the point of setting the drive offset.
It asks me to put a CD in the drive. I choose well known ones like Enya, Fleetwood, Clannad etc
So, it spins up and does a brief read then ejects the disc.
Pops up a message box" Please insert a disc into drive E:
So I do this again and again, 10 + times.
I figure something is wrong as it supposed to maybe do 2 or 3 so I close all the message boxes.
This reveals another message "This audio disc can be used to configure Accurate rip" yudda yudda....
"Configure Accurate Rip now?" Not, the disc is auto ejected again now.
If I close the drive, it just does another cycle, but if I press configure, another message box pops up:
"Exact Audio Copy couldn't detect a matching read command for this CD ROM drive"
"You should try to activate the auto detection of the read command in the drive options dialogue"
"If you have to select a specific read command --eg. because auto detection hangs the system -- you should make sure to select the correct one ! Just experiment with these switches and if it still does not work please report your drive configuration. OK
On the EAC form, I found EAC > Drive Options
Which lead to another form with a "Drive"tab containing various auto detect options.
Playing with these makes no difference at all.
So any ideas Please???
