Is it at possible that the new posts page doesn't include duplicate questions? I'm lost as new members don't seem to be able to use the search function. Same questions over and over. If I see another post about the lower line of Klipsch or Polk I'm gonna off myself. Such clutter. Sorry for the rant... oh and not to mention the tapatalk sigs... back to my scotch:p

You're assuming people use the search function...

I'm a member of a few forums that don't answer new posts that are pretty much old questions with "Use the search function before starting a new thread" and then close the new thread.

The site's search I find pretty crappy too. I use the google format of "(search terms) site:audioholics.com" for best results. I'm definitely with you on the tapatalk sigs :) What kinda scotch?

I don't think a search helps when someone asks about brand x vs brand y. A search helps with stuff like 'how do I hook up my subwoofer?' or some question that has a straight answer. I don't bother with questions that are answered with a simple google search. However, even the question you state, low end polk vs klipsch, isn't really answered with a google search. Such a question is asking this communities' opinions about the matter.

Mostly Macallan 12, I like the ones aged in Sherry caskets.

That's the only scotch I have ever contemplated pouring down a sink. Yuk.
One of my favorite descriptions of Laphroaig, another favorite of mine, is from Stefan Gabanyi's book "Whisky": "The most ridiculous substances have been invoked in attempts to describe the taste of this overpowering whisky: disinfectants, diesel fuel, tar, seaweed and Lord knows what else. In vain, I'm afraid, for you simply have to taste it for yourself. You will either be blown away or you'll never want to touch it again."

I help run the veradoclub.com and the majority of replies are short and a reference to the documents library first, then answer questions afterwards. We'll get I need help with a complete engine rigging  at least our audio hobby can't get us stranded in Ocean :D
