Upgrade opinion needed

I started my home audio/video almost a year ago with an Anthem 520 receiver, Paridigm prestige 15b bookshelves, and a pair of SVS SB-2000 subs. Since then, I have added the Paradigm 55c center, and a pair or 25s surrounds. I have this in a large open floor plan room with greater than 4000 cuft. The sound quality is great and I have adequate volume to annoy the wife when needed.

My question is, will I get greater benefit from upgrading front channels to Paradigm 75f floor standers, or subs to SVS SB-13 ultras?

I don't have room to go to any of the PB-xx subs so those are off the table, and I want to keep my 5 channels matched thus the Paradigms.

Thanks, looking forward to your opinions.

If you feel you are lacking consistent bass response, seat to seat, then I would add to, not replace, your existing subs.

Depends on what you're looking for. You'll definitely get more if you're looking for movie playback. Not as much with music, but that will depend mostly on music type and listen habits. You obviously considered ported which I would recommend but seems they're not going on the the table. IMO, having experience with the sb2k, in a large space, and you have the budget, yes. The ultras will give better performance than the smaller sb's. The sb2k is a great little sub but not for big rooms, or super high output. I'm sure your wife has a much lower threshold than most of us lol!
I am definitely a tower guy but to your question, the benefit imo will come from the ultra subs.

You have a kick ass 3 way CC, flanked by good 2 way BS but in a large space they could be overwhelmed.

Because it's a large room, I would upgrade to the floor standers. You'll get more volume capability for both music and movies. If you still think you're lacking something...you know it's time to upgrade the subs.

Just itching to spend some money? :D

I sympathize. :D

If your room is ~ 18' x 23' x 10', Towers may look cooler and give better sensitivity and volume.

At one point, I had five KEF Reference 201/2 monitors + dual Subs. But towers look so much cooler than monitors to me, especially for bigger rooms.

I agree with these guys and like I said, I'm a tower guy, and if you can get them after the subs I would absolutely go for it. The 95f's(and 75f's) are gorgeous and will very handily outperform the little 15b's in dynamics and loudness.

Last July I purchased an Anthem MRX520 receiver and Paradigm 75F's, Center 1v7, Surround 1v7, and a Sub 8. My room is 1400 cubic feet. I had auditioned a pair of 95F's prior to purchase and loved them. Their bass response was awesome. After a little thought, I realized that the 95's would be too large in such a small room, so I opted for the 75's. I ran ARC several times (before and after speaker break-in) and I'm very happy with my purchase.

I believe going with towers would be a better choice than upgrading the subs. After looking up the SVS SB-2000 subs, I find it hard to believe that you would need more low end bass than you already have. The towers would be the way to go. And, for a room the size of yours, if you can spring for the 95F's, I think you'd be blown away.
