The two live albums those cuts come from are some of my favorites. The audio engineering on them is just outstanding. There for a while after the "Hell Freezes Over" DVD and CD were released, you couldn't go to a home theater or audio showroom and not see them being demo'd.

I was listening to Hotel California off the original CD yesterday. Then I compared it to the live version on Hell Freezes Over. In my simple approach to audio, the live version tramples the original studio recording.
Don Henley's live CD is similarly well done.

A lot of people give Bon Jovi a hard time and criticizm. I don't keep track of him so I don't know exactly why that is. I enjoy the music however. I have a bunch of it. He's still performing and still churning.
I can listen to Bon Jovi just about anytime.
