Just curious what you guys are using to play and listen to mp3s? I make my own with high bit rate.
use an iRiver player from early 2000s, sounds way better than listening to music on my smartphone.
Seen some mp3 players on ebay for 1000s of $. is it worth it?

A $1000 mp3 player? Never even knew such a thing exists (assuming that's all it does, but I'm thinking it probably does a bit more, or at least I'd hope so!).

In my van I generally just use the usb port and a thumb drive, lately got a bluetooth receiver that plugs into the aux port so I can stream them from my phone. The thumb drive for the van and phone I reduce file size to mp3, around the house I usually use FLAC files on my computer/hard drives streamed to my audio systems, altho there are still some mp3s on the drive from non-cd sources but don't usually point foobar2000 at any but the FLAC files.

Lovinthehd, what kind of Bluetooth receiver did you get? I have an older stereo, Yamaha DSP-A1000 that does not have optical connections.

Loveinthehd, check this link out. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-IRIVER-Astell-Kern-AK380SS-256GB-Stainless-Steel-Package-/122370135207?hash=item1c7dd414a7:g:WvcAAOSw4CFYsEXz

That's what mp3 players go for now ;)
LOL hopefully someone looks at an Amazon price first if they're going to buy one. Had forgotten about these, I have seen one before....altho in the world of audio products there's far siller.

I got a cheap one off Amazon and altho I primarily got it for use in the van (the head unit is older and has no bluetooth incorporated), I also have some older 2ch gear setups without digital ports, but really only did a brief listen on one of those so far (and sounded fine).

It might just be me, but when I click that link I get the Sploosh video you posted earlier.
