AV receiver Recommendation

Multi channel, 7.2 speakers. This is for my new home theater system and I'm rookie in this. Appreciate your help!

Wall mount satellite speakers..still exploring the best ones and not finalized yet. Would like to connect all my devices(cable, Apple TV, games, be player etc) onto receiver. Did research and thought of buying marantz 7010 I think but some were i saw that it had some issues. So would be great if you can propose some models or will research more in this forum

Nothing wrong with the 7010, it's a fine avr, what did you read? I think you should consider spending less on the receiver and more on your speakers having just seen your speaker thread. Might start looking around at accessories4less.com for deals on avrs (some refurbished, some new/closeouts).

I have a Onkyo that i got on sale from amazon for $699 and it powers a 7.2 Polk LSIM 707 system with no problem.

I would stay away from Onkyo as they are known to have some issues. Denon/Marantz/Yamaha how ever are good and solid options.

I would say it is a nice receiver and I personally use really limited amount of its features. But if you compare it to Denon/Yamaha top models I would say they are pretty even. I personally prefer Audyssey from Marantz/Denon.
