Integra 80.2

Hello! I'm new to this forum... Just wondering anyone having experience setting up receiver Integra 80.2, I'm just not happy with the way it sounds and movies do not have that surround sound like movies at the Theater! I'm running all channels 9:2 and have Klipsch speakers all around. Also mostly doing movies off of Cable and Firestick. Got rid of my blue ray! Thanks

It would seem for the price the Integra would have you dancing in the streets rather than scratching your head. When you say "movies do not have that surround sound like movies at the Theater" , can you be a little more specific? I suppose I would order my questions like this :
1. Is this a new install ? Has the Integra ever worked correctly?
2. Does the setup work properly in stereo, 2 channel? 3 Channel, FR C RL ?
3. Does sound come from every speaker during setup mode? Did you run setup mode?

I think I'll stop there. Let you catch your breath. There are a lot of good folks here with a great deal of setup experience. I'm pretty sure they would all start somewhere around these questions. Might as well get the ball rolling.

What did you achieve by getting rid of blu-ray? Are you doing the setup by ear, by measurment mic/spl meter manually, or did you use Audyssey? What specific speakers/subs are you using?

Well as far as my set up.... It's not an new set up and I have 9 speakers and two subs, I have all Klipsch speakers. as far as the setup I have done manually and using audyssey, which I think is worthless because audyssey will not turn on. anyways I got rid off my blue ray player cause it stop working, and since I have my fire stick, I don't really need one. I know that the sound would be much better on a good DVD player, but I would think, if I can stream HD pictures, sound should be just as good.
1. All my speakers have sound
2. I can switch between all settings
3. when I used the microphone for setting up. It did not make much difference
4. I'm not sure if I'm utilizing Audyssey to the fullest ( it will not calibrate as good as I think it should)
5. I have set all my speakers at 80Hz THX setting

PS. I did sent this unit back for a free HDI board recall this past year, It's all fixed now

What specific speakers and subs do you have?

How on earth could you justify a negative comment about Audyssey if your unit is broken? Or do you simply not know how to do work with Audyssey? Audyssey XT32 may be a subtle difference but it should be audible if you set it up well. We don't know what you did so hard to say where you may have gone wrong, so explain what you did for starters. What exactly is it that makes you think it didn't calibrate as good as you think it should?

Blu-ray will still deliver better audio and picture than streaming services but not a huge difference in some cases. I think you should spend some time learning how to set up the system; it's not intuitive. Try scrolling down to the FAQ in this thread on how to setup with Audyssey for starters.

Ok All fixed!!! Yes I did all my calibration and it's working great now. I don't know why it was not saving the calibration after going through it. YES I think there might of been an user error, but considering I did it several times I could tell what I was doing wrong. Anyways thank you all for the help!
and now to my next fix id the slight hum on my sub...
anyone suggestions on how to get amp this receiver to get more of a rich warm w sound??
I would love to get close to a Macintosh tube sound, but not empty my bank account!

Are you using DynamicEQ? At lower volumes it's quite effective (and moves out of the way as you increase the volume towards reference; it may need you to adjust the Reference Level Offset for music sources, its default is the movie setting. I'd be sure to turn off Dynamic Volume if you have that set to on.

Many like a small bump on the subwoofer level post-Audyssey; I usually do 2-4 dB but some like up to 6dB.

Going over what you did to run Audyssey and the resultant settings afterwards might help you further....
