 Shocking on many levels but it goes to prove that mileage does vary greatly.
Oh, and same goes for my 2ch gear....it sounds good too, altho harder to integrate subs and use multich recordings....and use digital and streaming stuff.

You didn't address my point about transformers.

Either way, I have to disagree with you on these comments as well except for the multi-channel part.

I use a REL S/2 sub connected via high level to an 2 ch amp that does not have a sub-out. It is one of the best sub integrations for music I have ever heard. I am also big into streaming - FLAC 44/16 and now up to 24/196 with MQA, Hi-Res and as of 2 weeks ago Studio Masters. Using 2 ch gear does not make it harder or preclude me from enjoying the things you mention.

Sorry, didn't notice that. It makes no sense. You can hear transformers? Rel subs....sorry. Enough of a hijack here, back to the kitchen.

Yes, please tell me you're kidding. Transformers play an integral part in the quality of the audio being reproduced.

Check out the Fry's stores if there are some around you.

Watch for Denon X3000-series @ $550-$599 BRAND NEW and Denon X4000-series @ $799 BRAND NEW.

Amazon usually has the sale around Summer time and during the Summer.

Yes. Brand New.

I definitely don't believe in buying Refurbished AVRs.
I've had my issues with Denon refurbs, so understand that completely....but then again many haven't had issues, so YMMV. That's some pretty old stock or were they able to clear out some inventory for Denon....
