About Audioholics e-books

I wanted to know a little bit about them. I hassled a few of all to kind and all to patient members here through direct conversations. I even tried to PM Gene, I guess he's too busy, that's fine, I understand.

But what I would like to know is does any of these books feature a comprehensive dictionary of terms used in home audio (that stretch from physics, electricity, acoustics to specs, materials and other phenomena)?

I could really use something like this. Can we get a few reviews from those who bought them? The thread is closed for others.

Gene, I read an article that you put out regarding the use of a miniDSP. For some odd reason, I can't seem to find it. Would you happen to have a link for me so I can re-read that? It was very helpful. Thanks!

A million thank-you's! How in god's name did I miss that?? I've been typing all sorts in the search bar.

Since you're an expert in the field, if you happen to think of any other books that do have a glossary please tell me. I really would like to do some reading as all this intrigues me, but I need some advice on basic reading.

I already asked someone about Toole's book on acoustics, the "Sound Reproduction - Louspeakers and Rooms". I'm sure you had it in your hands many times, does that one start from really basic stuff? Or perhaps "Acoustics of Small Rooms"?

I'm trying to stop bothering everyone with what seems obvious to most members here and do some reading myself. I just don't want to buy first and complain later.

Master Handbook of Acoustics, Sixth Edition 6th Edition
by F. Alton Everest (Author), Ken Pohlmann (Author)
Amazon lets you read the first couple of pages. This might be it. Tell me if there's a reason not to pick this particular book.

I've got the 5th Edition, unread of course. Another good one not to read is Speaker Building 201 by Alden. You see where this is going, right? I want to be smart but ... what's on TV?

My paesano Alex! Hi there. I almost thought you really meant Master Handbook is a bad read. There's no way of saying this and not come off as a pompous prick but I'll risk it anyway; I do enjoy reading. It is what I do and at least I didn't go wrong when I chose my profession. I've been reading and writing for a living my entire life (which is nothing to be impressed with, naturally). My TV isn't even hooked. I know, I know; I'm such a pompous prick. A genuine high-brow bastard. But this is not at all why it isn't hooked. The content infuriates me, I have to deprive myself of TV as it is unhealthy for me. I can actually sense a dictator growing inside of me whenever I watch TV.

But you saw the thread from @jinjuku about cables conducting digital signal. Now, with my level of knowledge (what I like to call a level of ignorance) Mr. Plaskin might fool me at least on some points.

This is why I ask about the book. Is it written by some audiophoolery (as you here like to call it) supporting author or is it straight forward?
