Purpose of a Bus Bar

Hello,

I have a pair of Infinity Beta 50 speakers that have four posts for bi-wiring. I am not bi-wiring and noticed that there is no sound emitting from the speaker woofers (there are two).

Am I correct in understanding that the bus bars that originally shipped with the speakers are used to split off the low frequency signals to the woofers? I do not have the bus bars any more.

If you don't have the jumpers, just use speaker wire between the top and bottom terminals.

I had no idea what a bus bar was, a friend of mine has a little bus camper, so....

Took me a bit to find a photo, but this is what you want to do:

Just a bit of speaker wire between the two positive terminals and the two negative terminals will replace that bus/link connection you lost.

He meant the shorting links/bars, but I bet you knew that too..

Never heared of anything like that. Only time I see anything like this is with speakers that have duel voice coil

Sure, after I saw the actual post, but from the title alone, no. If anything, was thinking it was of some sort of computer reference. But I really do have two local friends with short bus rv setups.

The dual terminals as pictured in post 4. They're stupid as they are still attached to passive crossover components and bi-wiring and passive bi-amping are mostly stupid endeavors but the speaker companies think this is a marketable feature to those that don't know any better. Thus my comment.
