Need advice choosing 5.1 home theatre components

i have a budget of $2000 and looking for some advice on what amp, speakers and sub to buy within this budget. Would prefer smaller speakers. Was originally thinking of Bose but got dissuaded after seeing lots of negative comments about them.

I would be looking at:

• EMP Tek R5Bi front left right and surround speakers, R5Ci center or R56Ci center if you can fit it.
• RSL CG5.1 system
• SVS Prime Satellite fronts and surrounds, Prime center, and one of the 1000 series subs
• NHT Super Surround 5.1

Add to that a five or six hundred dollar AVR from Denon, Marantz, Sony, or Yamaha, and you will be set. If you want a very good sub that isn't huge, look at the Hsu VTF-1 mk3.

Ascend Acoustics 170SEs plus a Rythmik sub package perhaps. Accessories4less.com for some savings on an avr.

Might want to check each manufacturer's website for dealer/distributor info. No idea about HK but suspect most of the suggestions aren't going to be available there.
