Hello,

I'm thinking of upgrading my Denon avr-x2100. I've gotten my eye on the arcam avr390 and denon avr-x4300. But i can't decide on what is best. I was very happy with the denon's interface and setup UI. I'm looking for a heavier power amp section. the denon definately has more power. de arcam is only 80w per channel.
Any other pro's/cons for those receivers. any of you have any experience with those avr's?

Thank you.

The AVR-X4300H has better DAC specs (on paper), can play DSD, and most probably more feature rich, if that matters to you. Otherwise I would pick the one that offers the best deal.

The Denon is unequivocally the much better choice IMO.

If you want a "heavier" amp section why is the Arcam a consideration?

Just what do you mean by "heavier"? You want bigger heat sinks or heavier chassis? Just channeling a bit of Doc Brown with the "heavy" stuff ;)
