Amplifier set-up Help!

Hello,

I have a Klipsch 7.2.4 speaker system with a Yamaha Rx-A3060 receiver. This receiver has 9 built in amplifiers. So, I bought a Niles Si-2150 amplifier. However, I am not sure if I should hook my my front tower speakers to the amplifier or the surrounds. Without the amplifier, the display on the front of the receiver shows 9 powered speakers (R,C,L,FPR,FPL,SR,SL,RPR,RPL and SW1). I am not sure why the second subwoofer does not show. Can anyone familiar with this system help me with this?

I tried hooking up the front towers to the amplifier - the display on the receiver does not change. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or if there is a different way of doing it. Thank you.

Arun: IMHO; connect your ront Tower's to the Niles Amp. Use RCA cables from the front pre-outs to the Niles. You will need to read: how to do setup for your speaker coniguration. You can assign speakers to the appropriate terminals. Hell, you can easily go on U Tube, and they will have videos to show you exactly. Good Luck.

Thank you Jeffery. I changed the settings and all of the components show up on the receiver. I went with the front towers for the Niles amplifier.
