Not Both!

Folks, I tried to connect my Lenovo Desktop to both my 24" LG monitor and my TV. I connected my TV via an HDMI out of my Lenovo. Then, I connected my LG Monitor via VGA. It didn't work as there was no picture on the LG monitor. Also, there was no sound on my TV even though I connected HDMI? So, I unplugged my Behringer DAC from a USB out of my Lenovo Desktop. Only then did I get any sound from my TV. I thought that disconnecting my JBL headphones from the DAC would do the trick. But, I was wrong! Of course, this is not the first time that I have been wrong. So, my question is why will my Lenovo Desktop not output video from both the HDMI out and/or the VGA at the same time? It seems it is either or, but NOT both, no? Lastly, why did I still not have any audio out of my TV when disconnecting my JBL headphones? In other words, why did I have to completely disconnect my Behringer DAC in order to get sound from my TV? I admit, computers is NOT my thing here. Perhaps, one of you could explain to me what I am doing wrong? As always, it would be most appreciated! Thanks!

Ummm I have not. Not even sure where to find such. Like I said, computers are NOT my thing. It actually could just be a problem in the settings or lack of driver support. Who knows.....LOL!!!! My plan was to connect my monitor via VGA and my TV via HDMI. When I connected both at the same time, no picture on my monitor. Also, no sound on my TV. Figured that part out by disconnecting my Behringer DAC from the USB. Then, got audio on my TV. Anyways, how do I check the display control panel and/or the asio4all driver?

in you display control panel make sure your settings are set to mirror if you are going to use both.

By default windows only sends audio to one output. You may change the default settings and select the audio output to your liking. Getting sound to multiple outputs you might need to install some software to do so. As for your dac, your computer wont see if there is anything connected to your dac it only sees your dac as audio output and when it is connected it will send the audio to it if you have selected it as audio output.

You're getting good advice, this is likely just some settings and configs on the computer you need to go deal with.

You likely need to activate dual monitors, and you need to set your default audio device, etc.

I'm not surprised that it wasn't simple plug and play, go do some web searches and configs.
