Hi,

I want to get a pair of speakers for my bedroom (3.5x2.5 meters) and I want to know which one of these setups sounds better:

Pioneer SP-BS22-LR + Lepy lp-2020a
or
M-audio AV42 (or another pair of studio monitors in the same price range)

Thanks in advance

Get these

The previous generation of the AAs were based on the BS22LR, but I'd opt for these.

I had the BS22s and still have the FS52s and like them both, but at your price point you probably won't find anything better than the new AAs.

Thanks for your answer.
But I live outside USA and in my country there are not many good choices in under 200$ price range. The only options are the Pioneer and some studio monitors like M-audio models.

Well, I bought the Pioneer SP-BS22-LR last day:)!

But I don't have any amplifier now. I want something under 100 (at most). Which one has better sound quality:

1- Lepai / SMSL / Topping amps
2- Vintage receivers / amps

Thanks in advance

thanks for your reply!

I did a little bit of research and found some options. I prefer to spend less than 50$, but there are some other options above this price point. here is the list:

1.Breeze Audio TPA3116
2x50w / TPA3116 chip

2.Lepai LP-2020A+ (25$)
2x20w / TA2020-20 chip

3.SMSL SA-36A (50$)
2x20w / TDA7492PE chip

Second list:
1.Topping TP23 (70$) (amp/dac)
2x25w / TA2021B chip

2.Topping VX2 (75$) (amp/dac)
2x40w / STA326 chip

3.Topping TP22 (80$)
2x30w / TK2050 chip

4.Topping TP30-MARK2 (85$) (amp/dac)
2x20w / TA2024 chip

1.which one of the first 3 choices are better sounding?
2. if I get one of the pricier options (the next 4 items), would I get a noticeable upgrade?

Thanks in advance

At first I was going to recommend the SMSL. But apparently SMSL changed the chips they use in that amp, and not for the better. I'm inclined to say the Breeze Audio option will be the best of your list. The TPA3116 chip is generally very well regarded among Class D amps.

SMSL SA-S3
is the one I have. It was recommended by Fuzz a member here. It's a great little amp and can really hang. It's on my PC setup and I don't even use it to it's potential. At the half volume it gets loud! This is the recommended AC adapter supply. Yep I did alot of research: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0023Y9EQC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The Breeze one looks very interesting. Just make sure you get a good AC adapter or the amp won't ROCK. :) Most of the amps don't come with AC adapters and if they do it's not enough power.
Take a look:
A probable fix:
