Which pre-amp/amp/speakers could one hook it to? For speakers the red Martin Logan Neolith comes to mind.

and you'd need to keep it in a hermetically sealed room to avoid dust!

Not having all parts of the turntable on the same platform, never made any sense to me.
The relationship of the tonearm to the platter needs to adjustable and the fixed to a fraction of an mm. External vibrations should move everything together rather the independently.
